About me
I was born in Ghana in 1962. After spending my childhood in South Africa, I trained at the Académie de Meuron, at the Lycée Artistique de Neuchâtel. I won the EMS Clos-Brochet wall art competition in Neuchâtel with a ceramic work I made in the studio of my teacher, Jean-Pierre Devaud. I graduated with a degree in sculpture.
Once my studies were finished, I travelled around for a while and then returned to Switzerland. In the back of my garage, I mainly sculpted using stone, but also wood and clay. I then gave up working alone in a studio for good and set my hammers, chisels and bush hammers aside.
Construction then became my focus for several years. Presenting me with multiple administrative and technical challenges, this new field developed my passion for architecture and large projects.
At the turn of the millennium, a radical shift led me into the group personal insurance sector: almost thirty years at large companies and working for others gave me personal fulfilment and the recognition of my peers. The experience of motherhood was ultimately the most remarkable aspect of the birth of my two sons. Unsurprisingly, it was also the start of my happy return to art.
Time flies by and in my wiser days, I can afford the luxury of peace of mind, and hey! …. well, I no longer work for a living, I work on my art!
